Boiled Frogs Giclée print

Boiled Frogs by Alexisonfire is one of my all time favourite songs. The song and lyrics use the metaphor of a frog boiling to death slowly in a pot, not realising how much danger it’s in until it’s too late to jump out. I applied this metaphor to my relationship and collaged my acrylic painting of frogs in a pot with a photograph of frogs from a wildlife photography book, cut outs from Conrad’s Heart of Darkness and my personal journals from the time about how I was feeling about my relationship.
